Passion and determination have always driven Giovanni Celeste’s life choices.
Giovanni Celeste decided not to capitalise his bachelor degree in law to follow what he believed in: creating and fashioning the leather to craft unique and precious products.
Giovanni Celeste is one of the best known whipmaker, prop maker and leather designer.
He has been the first artisan to import and develop in Italy the culture of the Australian whipmaking alias the Art of making and braiding whips in kangaro hide.
Over the years Giovanni Celeste has been appreciated worldwide for his aesthetic taste, expertise and creativity in the Australian whip making art. This probably represents one of the highest expression of the braiding fine items.
His products had been made for Filmmaking, Theatre, Performers and Art Galleries.
After more than twenty years of hard work made up of Passion, Precision, Patience (his personal 3 P’s) his leather products are widely appreciated for the attention to details, precision, good taste and elegance.
In recent years he has extended his creativity and know how to make various kind of woven accessories like belts, bracelets, watchband, walking sticks and of course bags.
Each product is unique and distinctive. I love creating and defining the details together with my customers. I’m keen in involving them during the different steps... Because I believe that behind my products there isn’t only me but my customers as well
