Giovanni Celeste’s braided watchband are elegant, functional and strong. They are made with high expertise, care and passion in each single detail.

It’s unique and distinctive trait is the complete absence of sewn across the watchbands. This unique feature enhances and strengthens the braided watchbands.

The end of the braid is made with the “back braid” technique. It means they are braided both internally and externally.

Over 3 meters of kangaroo leather laces have been cut entirely by hand – no use of machinery in any passage- to make this style of watchbands.

The realization of the weaving is preceded by four fundamental steps in order to make the weave more compact and regular, ie:

First of all each strip of leather is stretched then resized, skived and bevelled.

The weaven that makes up the watchband is made with continuous strands without joining other strands during the braid process.
